We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Gastroenterology Hospitalist to join our dynamic team and contribute to our mission of improving GI health in our community.

Job Summary: The Gastroenterology Hospitalist will provide specialized care for patients with gastrointestinal disorders at Memorial Central hospital. This role involves diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of GI conditions, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cover one hospital, Memorial Central.
  • Focus on inpatient and outpatient GI procedures.
  • Work with an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) who will handle consults, follow-ups, and phone calls, allowing the hospitalist to concentrate on procedures and rounding.
  • Round with the APPs and attest to their notes.
  • Perform outpatient procedures on weekdays only (no weekends); typically, 6 outpatients per day.
  • Manage 10-12 inpatients per day.
  • Start at 7 AM and end around 5 PM most days.
  • Take night call from home, with rare emergent procedures requiring hospital presence.

Work Schedule Options:

  • Option 1: 7 days on, 7 days off, full 24 hours each day.
  • Option 2: 7 daytimes on, 7 days off, no nights.
  • Option 3: 5 days on each week, including nights
  • Option 4: 5 daytimes on each week, no nights

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Gastroenterology.
  • Licensed to practice medicine in Colorado.
  • Strong clinical and procedural skills in gastroenterology.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
