Director of Operations - AZ Market
Job Summary:
The Director of Operations provides operational oversight of physician clinics and company surgery centers for the company’s Arizona market. They are responsible for ensuring each location runs efficiently and effectively, while maintaining the highest standards of patient care and satisfaction. The Director of Operations will monitor and manage center budgets for the market and will set strategic goals, objectives and actions plans for the market. They play a pivotal role in fostering a positive work environment, building strong community relationships, and optimizing operational performance across the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Medical Director and Executive leadership team to develop and achieve company goals, providing expertise on operations projects/systems and communicating strategic goals with the regional teams.
- Lead quality assurance and improvement efforts; consulting with appropriate staff to identify problems and develop/implement quality improvements and standards.
- In partnership with the GCP leadership team and Medical Director, identify and implement opportunities to streamline clinic operations and optimize operational workflows and performance, patient experience, financial performance and provider/staff engagement.
- Responsible for the day-to-day oversight and management of all medical staff, marketing initiatives, physician relationships, healthcare technology optimization, and facility and inventory management.
- In conjunction with support staff, oversee the recruitment, supervision, performance management, and disciplinary actions of clinic staff.
- Understand and foster hospital partner relationships and maintain referral relationships within the market.
- Ensure appropriate provider schedule templates/blocks, resolve issues with market partners, and implement improvement plans when and as necessary.
- Address patient complaints and ensure timely follow-up.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local physician referral groups and act as a liaison between company centers and referring providers.
- Work closely with the leadership team to oversee cost-control measures, staffing requirements, and operational budgets.
- Develop, implement, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) within clinic and ASC teams.
- Ability to build and present performance reports and metrics to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
- Foster a collaborative working environment, enhancing staff morale and engagement.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required; MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in operations management, preferably within a healthcare setting.
