HR Generalist

Must live in Arizona, Colorado or Wyoming
Job Summary:
The Human Resource Generalist will play a critical role in the support of our employee and business functions across GCP geographies and practices. The person in this role will be responsible for managing a broad range of human resource responsibilities, including HR program administration, system management, onboarding, staff training and development and GCP vision and value engagement. The HR Generalist is responsible for building effective relationships and responding to all employee questions/needs timely and effectively. They will enforce Practice policies and processes, help maintain compliance, provide coaching, and ensure a positive working environment for all staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide guidance to employees regarding HR related questions regarding benefits, time off, company/procedures and best practices.
Oversee all leave administration processes.
Manage the HRIS, auditing the system monthly for accuracy, creating monthly reports, ensuring the system is set up for maximum efficiency and that staff are accurately entered and exited from the system.
Manage external program platforms (401k, benefits, compliance), auditing for accuracy and adding/exiting employees timely.
Analyze employment data and prepare reports as requested/needed regarding HR metrics to include: turnover, headcount, retention, labor costs, etc.
Support the Regional HR Manager with employee relations, assisting in writing/reviewing proper documentation and managing within the system.
Successfully onboard/offboard all employees to ensure a successful transition into and out of the organization.
Work in conjunction with the payroll department regarding compensation changes, status changes, etc.
Support managers with time management questions.
Maintain compliance with state, federal, and local labor laws, staying up to date on regulatory changes.
Manage compliance reporting (ACA, OSHA, etc.)
Support employee engagement program initiatives that create a positive work environment and reflect the company’s vision and values.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Ability to effectively set priorities, manage multiple tasks and deadlines and produce quality work in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage time effectively
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
Proficiency in MS Office
Ability to handle sensitive information ethically and responsibly and to protect the confidentiality of business information
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and handle sensitive information and documents.
Ability to work with a high degree of independence and prioritize workflow
Knowledge of effective hiring practices
Ability to exercise initiative, judgement, discretion, and decision-making consistent with organizational objectives.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent work experience
HR Certification preferred
Proficiency in MS Office
Minimum of 3 years of experience in human resources, in a multi-state environment preferred.
HRIS system experience required, Paycom preferred
