Job Summary:

The Clinical Coordinator supports the Practice Manager in the administrative and personnel functions of the clinic team to ensure patient care is provided in an efficient and productive manner. They support the Practice Manager with recruitment, onboarding, and performance management of the team, assist with the implementation and understanding of policies and procedures, and are responsible for day-today oversight of the medical record and patient access teams. Additionally, they are responsible for supporting the Practice Manager with special projects and for establishing, effectively implementing, and successfully executing projects and strategies that support the growth of procedure volume and achieve revenue goals set for the company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the Patient Services team and manage staff performance, including coaching and disciplinary action
  • Recommend, develop, and implement system improvements for the Patient Services team
  • With the Practice Manager, ensure operations are running efficiently and communicate concerns/issues to leadership in a timely, effective manner.
  • Assist in the recruitment, hiring, training and onboarding of all clinic team staff.
  • Support the Practice Manager in the rollout and implementation of goals, objectives, and key performance indicators for the clinic teams.
  • Alongside Practice Manager, train, coach and hold staff accountable for departmental standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and best practices.
  • Under the guidance of the Practice Manager, engage in special projects that support the efficiency and operation of the practice.
  • In conjunction with the Practice Manager, address issues raised by physicians, employees and/or patients and seek out appropriate resolutions.
  • Responsible for managing inventory and ordering supplies as needed
  •  Assist in company compliance programs and perform routine audits on a monthly, quarterly, yearly basis, as needed.
  • Oversee maintenance of property, computer systems and software and manage inventories to the appropriate level.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a free-standing medical practice environment preferred
