Recent studies have concluded that a fully trained gastroenterologist is more likely to detect adenomas (precancerous lesions) and remove them before they turn into cancer. Studies also show that they are much more likely to adhere to the frequency for follow-up colonoscopies stated by national guidelines, and much less likely to bring patients back too soon for follow-up procedures. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our growing team in a fast-paced procedural setting. This role is ideal for a nurse who is passionate about patient care, thrives in a collaborative environment, and enjoys supporting patients throughout every step of their care journey.

As an RN on our team, you will play an essential role in delivering safe, high-quality care during the pre-operative, procedural, and post-operative process while helping create a positive patient experience.

Schedule & Work Environment

10-hour shifts
Primarily daytime schedule
No nights required
Occasional weekend coverage as needed
Supportive, team-oriented environment
Opportunity to work closely with providers and clinical leadership

What You’ll Do

Provide exceptional nursing care before, during, and after procedures
Admit, assess, and educate patients prior to procedures
Prepare procedure rooms and assist physicians during endoscopy procedures
Monitor patient vitals and recovery post-procedure
Provide discharge instructions and patient education to patients and families
Accurately document patient information and clinical updates
Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity of care
Respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations, including respiratory or cardiac events
Assist with patient transport and clinic flow as needed
Support daily clinic operations, including cleaning, wrapping, and sterilizing equipment

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in CO
BLS & ACLS certification required
Previous experience in GI, surgery center, PACU, critical care, or procedural settings preferred
Strong communication and patient education skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team
Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care
Proficiency in MS Excel, electronic health systems and databases. such as EPIC, required
Knowledge of GCP, federal, state, and local regulations, including HIPAA policies and procedures.
